Docs4PatientCare Endorsement
Dear Dr. Honeycutt,
The Executive Board of Directors and the Political Action Committee of Docs4PatientCare are pleased to inform you of our formal endorsement of your candidacy for Congress from Georgia’s 13th District.
We are in complete agreement with your position on health care reform. We support all Congressional efforts to oppose funding of key provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Law, eventual repeal of the law, and replacement with common sense health care legislation that preserves the sanctity of the physician-patient relationship and the freedom of patients and physicians to make critical health care decisions without government intervention.
Candidate’s Spouse Renews Call for a David Scott Apology
By Donald Allen
If a member of Congress can call an outstanding member of the community, a mother, a doctor and a congressional candidate a “Bitch,” what more will he do to the people of Georgia’s 13 Congressional District? Congressman David Scott must go!
If President Obama can defend his wife, Michelle, it is quite understandable that Andrew Honeycutt, DBA, continues to defend his wife’s name and honor by calling for a public apology from Rep. Scott.
According to reports, Congressman David Scott allegedly approached writer Maynard Eaton of the Atlanta Voice during qualifying on April 29, 2008. in Atlanta, and asked him about the 13th District contest. He then asked, “Are you helping that Bitch?” referring to Georgia’s 13th Congressional District Candidate Dr. Deborah Honeycutt. This unethical behavior by Congressman Scott is offensive to all women and sets the tone of what he thinks about women. Furthermore, the people in Georgia’s 13th Congressional District should be very concerned about Congressman Scott’s insolent audacity regarding women to publicly call a woman a “BITCH!”
Deborah Honeycutt is a family medicine physician who is running in the Republican Primary for Georgia’s 13th District with a conservative theme of integrity to conservative values and principles, responsibility to the citizens and presence in the community.
After Rep. Scott refused to respond to a certified letter sent to him by Andrew Honeycutt, Mr. Honeycutt decided to take matters into his own hands. Andrew Honeycutt, husband of Dr. Honeycutt, protested by picketing Mr. Scott’s district office wearing a sandwich board that asks for an apology.
